Youth Music Program

Montavilla United Methodist Church strives to engage our youth members through music and worship. Children and youth are included in our worship each Sunday morning as we sing our Gathering Song and music for Children’s Chat.

Youth ages 4 yrs+ are also encouraged to attend our weekly YOUTH MUSIC JAM where our mission is: SING, PLAY, SERVE.

Children and youth from Montavilla UMC and surrounding neighborhood communities are invited to attend these weekly music sessions for preK-high school students (ages 4 yrs+). We’ll meet at Montavilla UMC every Thursday from 5:30-6:30 pm, September 8-June 8. Young people who join our weekly music sessions have the option of singing, playing an instrument, or both!

Our “jam band” will learn music together and travel to local nursing & retirement living homes, farmers markets, and other community establishments. The group will also have the option of providing music at select MUMC worship services throughout the year. Opportunities for leadership and mentorship positions are available for high school students. Musical collaborations with experienced musicians welcome.
